You keep trying to promote this argument but in truth it is empty. All anyone has to do is look at the many news sites that allow commentary. You see fringe comments get in all the time, it doesn't mean the news site endorses the comments, it just means that they have some latitude for even cooky fringe commentary.

Uh, it was a print newsletter. You're saying all these things were just in letters to the editor or something like that?

Ron Paul wasn't an editor. He didn't edit the newsletters. Lew Rockwell was one of the editors.

Right, but unless they were letters to the editor from random readers that analogy was retarded.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to refute. I don't know anyone who thinks Paul is actually a racist. The newsletter isn't damaging because people believe he really thinks that stuff. It's damaging because it shows he puts his name on all sorts of crap without bothering to check it and he attracts tons of crazy idiots and apparently lets them do stuff in his name without supervision.

It isn't that big a deal but by continuing to miss the point and rabidly defending what is not really defensible you just make it worse and more damning.

Comments on a news site are equivalent to a newsletter with his name on it?

lol

Nobody is holding Paul accountable for every comment made by his army of nutso's as your comparison would imply.

There are 3 possible lessons here: 1) Dr Paul is a racist, 2) Dr Paul is not racist but is happy to dive in and stir the pot to advance his political interests or 3) Dr Paul can not effectively control his staff of people.

Supporters can either accept one of these and support him in spite of this...or they can refuse to accept any of them and up the crazy with a silly comparison to internet comments.

If the Obama staff came out tomorrow and announced a new 'get whitey' plan and Obama shrugged it off and refused to do anything....shrugging it off since the internet news sites have crazy comments would be a bit stupid.

TheRedKay1, remind me again, what was your position on Obama's AG Eric Holder and the Fast & Furious program?

Its good to see you guys are getting involved in politics. Whats your plan for when Paul loses the republican nomination?

Write him in I guess. Unless you have a better candidate to show off?

Please, please have a better candidate to show.

Edit: Unfortunately, I already know you don't. I've seen the other options.

4 more years!!

I like Obama. If the economy turns around and we get Afghanistan up and running and can pull out, I'd say he'd be one of the best in my lifetime. I have my criticisms of course, but not nearly enough to throw away our countries future with another loony R.

So then, if you feel Obama is so rosy (best in lifetime, what a xD!), how would you characterize Bush as a president? Because they're really not so far apart as far as policy is concerned.

I have more criticisms for sure, but I supported him and am proud of the freedom his America represented.

My main objection to both presidencies are measures in the Patriot Act. I think we needed some of those provisions, but certainly not to the extent that they have the potential to reach.

Economically I feel duped as well. Job growth is stagnating and all I hear are excuses. Trickle down econ fails.
