This. I did the NYE insanity in Vegas last year. I'll be damned if I do it in NYC this year. I'm just going to spend the evening under blankets, watching whoever replaced Dick Clark and feeling morally superior to the drunk people in Times Square.

Ive been to times square for new years - nobody is drunk. Anyone outside in new york at midnight is freezing to death and waiting for the event to end. Its just too cold and crowded to think about much else.

Yeah, you can't take a piss either because they don't have any public bathrooms and you'd have to give up your spot. Definitely not going there this year!

Not doing anything this year, my lady is visiting her parents in Los Angeles and I'll be in Washington, D.C. I don't have a cable (no ball drop watching) and my clock broke so I'll be doing my best to avoid the time altogether. Hopefully I can get some good reading done and have a few beers.
