Suits for me are a tactical weapon. I don't generally wear them, but when I am wearing them I'm generally in front of people who breathe very expensive air. For that reason I only own 3 or so suits at a time, but they're the $600-$750 tailored variety.
I COULD put a couple $1500 suits in the closet, but it is an awful waste considering I am lucky to wear any suit 5-7 times a year. If I need something that heavy-duty, I'm probably going to be renting a tux.

ive been to my regular bar a couple times in my cheap ass target suit after a company event....
it never occurred to me that, being a newly found college bar, i could stand there and pretend to be art vandeleigh from the new york architect office on a field assignment......
one of the bar tenders was there today and doing exactly that. lol

I primarily work corporate acquisitions. I'm on the side of the acquisition that decides who and what gets kept or done away with. We usually dress down so as not to scare the locals.

You're going to look great in that same pants and jacket every day - might as well get 4 $500 suits. It'll look better. Nice clothes also wear out and unlike expensive furniture, aged/used/faded clothes never look good.
