Nice bikes Blue, but I dislike loud pipes in the city as they are very inconsiderate when you're going through neighborhoods where you can literally disturb thousands of people with the sound of them. I know there are guys that get off on that but it's just not cool in my book. In more rural areas I would not have that much of a problem with sporting a nice set of pipes on a bike.
I really wanted to start out on like a 650 CC bike but I may end up getting a straight up el cheapo commuter bike since that is what I want for anyway, and it is going to be parked on city streets and deal with everything associated with being operated in the city, so cheap is likely best. I did want to be able to do occasional 100 mile trips on the bike, but a 250CC bike kinda sucks for that, definitely doable, but not the most comfortable.
I've still been looking at Craigslist and others, and I find it remarkable how many people seemingly highball their prices.

What is the deal with the loud motocycles? I hate them.
It seems like the people on them think theyre badass too but they look like idiots.

They are massively too loud. I think they break sound ordances of many neighborhoods. Worst are the Harleys
