Your absolutely right. But then again the money I make is mine. Not theirs. I dont fund crooked politicians, adulterers, pedophiles, liars, thieves, murderers, rapists, corrupt, blah blah blah the list goes on forever. So I'll take my money back any way that I possibly can. Then again with a wife 3 kids I'm getting almost 7 grand back every year, I dont even have a house yet. I claim 3 all year on state and federal. How is it that they can take money so fast but to give it back takes 1-3 months?

$20/month for a computer (That's a $600 build every 30 months, plenty to play anything. Ebay old parts to buy new monitors.)
$20-30 for internet (any crappy 128/512 DSL will game, you only need multi-megabit speeds for streaming porn)
$15 for a MMO subscription. Or a $60 title every 4 months instead.

Ooh, $2/day.

I don't really care so much about the $$$, but I feel like i have wasted and burned too many hours gaming. I wouldn't even want to know an actual time spent on them..what a waste of energy. lol Just try and figure it out for real. If you start with arcade gaming..the orig. culprit on up to the gaming of today, omg.

I believe I could have written at least one doctoral dissertation with the time I have spent gaming.

I've loved video games since Pong. I've played them since arcade days and quarters.

But here's the thing:

You wouldn't have written that dissertation if not for gaming. If you were going to write that dissertation, you'd have done so, regardless of gaming. Chances are, without gaming you'd spend that time in the bar or watching vacuous television.

I would personally only build a computer when I absolutely can afford and need to (need to maybe once every 4 years?) You can upgrade and sell back a bunch of parts and only spend maybe net loss of 500-600 bucks if you can ebay your stuff off well

The only computer games that I buy are the ones which I know I will be playing for awhile, too. console games have never been able to keep my attention for more than a month or two
