Not necessarily, it really depends on who gets the not Romney votes from candidates who fizzle out. Social conservatives don't really get tingly over Paul's Austrian economics and Randian babble, but they do get the spirit in them for Jesus and oppressing non WASPs. I read one op-Ed that suggests that not only has Paul hit his high water mark, but that the Republicn establishment simply can't sell Romney to a large portion of the base. If that is the case Santorum could get legs in SC, eventally dragging Romney to the right.

The same is true with Paul at this point. No sane person believes he has a chance, but he just might be able to pick up enough delegates to get some bargaining power at the convention.
