And Romney is the Establishment candidate. Same as both Bushes, same as Clinton, same as Obama. He has proven himself to be the one who will be most loyal to the real power centers.

The Establishment wins. It always wins.

Speaking as an Independent... f'cking Santorum is the kind of idiot 180-degree wrong choice that makes me want to go and pull the lever for Obama. Just to punish the R's for their abject stupidity.

Same with Romney only he isn't an idiot, he is a fraud.

Romney would at least throw less red meat to the conservative base, as he wouldn't need to with the various moderates and anti-dem independents he'd pick up.

Romney is sad, but predictable and pedantic. Santorum is lighter fluid thrown in the face of a burning man.

I cant believe so many people actually voted for Santorum. There must have been a huge turnout of evangelicals

The funny part is, Iowans somehow think this makes them look MORE sane and relevant than voting for Paul or Romney?

This is a good thing imo. Iowa turned out in droves for Huckabee with the evangelical vote last time, and for Ron Paul to get 21-22% of the vote with Romney and Santorum just a few points ahead really says a lot to me.

It says Paul has a very solid base even among evangelicals ans when you get to some of the less evangelical based states, Paul should thrive.

I'm actually elated.

This is definitely the result of the same people who voted for Huckabee 4 years ago. It would have been interesting to see how his votes would have gone with only Paul/Romney in the race.

My take on the caucus

Romney, Santorum, and Paul took the same amount of delegates .. so this is a 3 way tie. Anyone who says Romney one is showing the ignorance of the political system the lamestream media is hopping for.

Paul doubled his total from 2008 while Romney got less than what he received in 2008.

Iowa delegates are not bound to the person they are assigned to represent and it looks like Dr. Paul's people stayed around and got the necessay county delegate seats

NH is now a 2 man race between Romney and Paul
