I found it very depressing. It goes on for months.

I spent 6 months up near Tacoma Washington. I enjoyed the climate.

That depends. Those of us who grew up in the Pacific NW don't notice it at all. If you're a California transplant that moved here in 2006 because the PacNW is "The Place To Be", then you probably cry like a little baby in your BMW and faux fur coat.

totally false. i grew up in the seattle area and by high school was fully aware of how much the weather sucked ass. i now live in southern california and my wife and I would not consider moving back due to the weather and traffic.

There is a psychological impact to long periods without sun. Where I live we can go weeks without seeing the sun in the sky during winter and it does have an effect on me.

Seattle traffic is ranked 3rd or 4th worst in the country every year by AAA.

This last year we made 4th:

US Cities with the Worst Rush Hours

1. New York

2. Washington D.C.

3. San Francisco

4. Seattle

5. Los Angeles

6. Philadelphia

7. Chicago

8. Dallas-Ft.Worth

9. Atlanta

10. Houston

Edit: And with the Viaduct coming down this is only going to get worse
