I know people in Washington do not let the mist/rain stop them. But, no sunshine has an impact?

People get weird...kinda subdued...in the winter months here. You don't even realize it until the sun comes out again and everyone freaks out. A lot of my coworkers have the "natural sunlight" lamps at their desks.
I don't mind it as much. I love snowboarding (though the season has been terribad so far) enjoy indoor activities like gaming so I just shift my hobbies for the season.

JFC, Seattle has no idea what a lot of rain is. I hate going down there and hearing them cry about how it rains so much.

It's not the rain, it's that it's always cloudy and the days get annoyingly short near the start of winter. Yes, I understand that Alaska has it worse during the winter, but you are Canada's hat and therefore irrelevant.

Sorry, not a natural sunlight lamp...they're called sunlight lamps or natural light lamps. Supposedly they're better than every day lamps because they use the entire light spectrum, like the sun does. Personally I think it sounds like a pile of horseshit.

Full color spectrum light, not just yellow or white like a normal incandescent or fluorescent bulb.
It's mostly psychosomatic - but whatever helps them cope I guess.

It's not the amount of rain. It just rains a little bit just about every... damn... day. It is almost continuously overcast for more than 9 months of the year. We have almost exactly two months of sunshine here, that's all. Kicker: They're not in a row.

That depends. Those of us who grew up in the Pacific NW don't notice it at all. If you're a California transplant that moved here in 2006 because the PacNW is "The Place To Be", then you probably cry like a little baby in your BMW and faux fur coat.
