I disagree. You are incorrectly interpreting threading issues as memory leaks.

Huge portions of the HeroEngine were written in C# - and it's extremely difficult to induce memory leaks into C#. You have to turn portions of the language off to do so.

The lagging you are seeing in switching operations are not indicative of memory leaks, unless they consistently get worse over time. My guess is they have a nasty deadlock they can't find - the active thread has to wait for the thread timer to time out (since it's deadlocking somewhere) and switching TOR to the background thread, allowing windows to be made active again in a foreground thread.

My educated, tired, mostly correct guess anyway.

Can't say I'm having any issues other than some planets loading super slow and quitting takes about 30 seconds. My computer isn't remarkable by any means.

You are pretty clearly in the minority. My rig runs any game out there fine, except SWTOR. It takes me 30 seconds to alt tab and sometimes 2+ minutes to load a zone. In game I get 60+fps on the highest settings so it obviously isn't my hardware being too slow to run the game.

Not to mention I can't even quit the game using the in-game interface. If I do it freezes every time. Whenever I want to quit I have to alt-tab, wait 20 seconds, then quit the process through the task manager.

Your PC sucks donkey dick. I have none of these problems.

I log in every night and play until the software crashes or locks up. Last night, I logged in, did my space dailies then flew to Alderan where I was able to complete one quest before the game hung bringing me out of a dialog. Some nights I get hours of play, some nights I'll play maybe 15 minutes.

My PC is almost 4 years old now and barely runs the game. PvE is easily playable, but PvP is a frame rate stutterfest.

The game does run a bit sluggish and I am not surprised people have had problems. The game is also bringing a lot of new people into the genre who are not used to the issues that go along with many MMOs.

The game is fun though.

That kinda is how it works though. If you try to alt tab right after getting into game for the first time it isn't too bad. If you try to do it after 1 hour it's awful. If you alt tab after that hour, wait the age it takes, surf for a while, then go back in, you can alt tab back out quicker than you could before too.

I am not a developer so I'm not sure what it is but there is clearly something wrong with the code somewhere.

My PC runs SWTOR on high settings at 60+ fps even in the imperial fleet. It also runs Skyrim on the highest settings with no noticeable stuttering. It is not a problem with computer specs. We've already been over this.
