Oh, sure, sometimes it can be fun and all. The pictures in particular  , but damn....can't anyone ever pick up a phone and call anymore?
I got 247 texts in the last 3 days, outside of a couple of very nice pictures...about the only thing all that texting said was, "Hi, whatcha doing" and "  eah, me too".

Haha! Pictures aside, texting has saved me so much time and irritation over the past few years, it's hard to complain.
In its proper place, I think texting is outstanding. It has vastly simplified certain things like picking up milk on the way home from work or whatnot. It also provides a record for people who like to pretend that you or they said something that you or they did not.

maybe they don't have enough to say for a full conversation so it's pointless to call and talk
or maybe they hate talking on the phone as i do...it is hands down one of the worst communication methods ever IMO
or maybe its because cell phone companies charge ridiculous rates for phone calls and people don't want to use their limited minutes...while unlimited texts are still cheap

Nowadays people dictate the message to their phone which sends it as a text that is then read to the recipient by their phone. This is like the future.

Having a cell phone means you have a big cell phone bill. My niece has a $100 a month bill. It makes me shake my head every month. My kids wanted me to pay for their phone bills. I laughed at them. I already do pay for it. There is a phone in the house they can use at anytime.
