I'm downloading the EverQuest 2 FTP client at the moment.
I look forward to deleting it off my desktop in the next hour.

I'll probably be playing Diablo 3 and GW2 for more than a year, probably more like 3 if I play D3 like I played Diablo 2

SWTOR is really only good because nothing else is out there. The main quests are not bad.
Side quests suck by the third time! The UI sucks. Crafting is totally worthless. Fully 90% of my deaths are caused by my pet screwing up. WTF do all toons have to have a pet? Loading times really suck. No account bank. PvP on a PvE server is a fail prior to 50. Ship missions are on a rail. That all leaves one wondering just WTF were their Devs thinking? Selling the original box is all I can come up with.
So, in the end it is an OK solo questing game built around class quests with a chat box. Onto that they tossed in a half dozen grouping quests per planet. I really wonder how the game population will be 3 months after release when everyone has run to 50 on a few toons.

SWTOR I have my 2 30s on the republic side and 2 teens on the Empire side. I will sub at least another month or until a beta invite to The Secret world or GW2 in the spring!
Funcom is on the list with Cryptic for companies i will never touch again for the rest of my life.

besides you guys saying it sucks...how does it actually suck?
I am enjoying the hell out of it, and MO, you can hit the space bar to jump through the yapping on quests once you know what they are going to say and just pick the dialog choices you want.

I played EQ2 on and off for a couple of years back when.
I reckon it's pretty much like WoW (which I only played 3 months) with heavy emphasis on raiding. As I recall there is no PVP at all unless you roll PVP server specifically, which has a very special ruleset.
I plays and look quite old fashioned imo, almost like a graphical MUD.
So if that gets your juices flowing, enjoy.

EQ2 was pretty good when I played it. One thing I noticed about eq2 compared to other mmo's was the community. My eq2 guild reminded me of the old days in daoc. Everyone was really polite and helpful.
No idea if the game is still that way.
