I still need some recommendations when it comes to spices and sauces.. I don't feel the need to put myself in the hospital so please keep this under a lethal level.

I use: Habenero, Jalapeno, Serrano, green and red peppers in my chili. I use a crock pot to make it. I also do not add beans and put it on pasta. I love pasta and chili.

I can make a version with beans. But the beans do not belong in a chili pasta sauce.

Meh...
It's totally arbitrary to exclude beans and allow tomatoes.
For me, I prefer my chili to be more stew-like than soup-like. That means tomatoes and beans. The beanless chilis I've had were something less than enjoyable.
I think the whole "NO-beans in chili!" thing is pretty silly to be honest. I also think that more people in the US recognize chili with beans as more appropriate than chili without beans, but a bunch of Texans just make a big squawk about it because well, most of the time, Texans are douchebags.

I don't add beans and the last thing anyone would call my chili is soup like. I think who ever made it for you was doing it wrong.
also the ICS is world wide, not texas..
