Tablets are a year or more from being really ready for the big time. If you really need/want one now, I'd suggest checking Woot and other daily special services and grab the first tablet they offer that fits your requirements.

I dont like how tablets these days aren't "real" Windoze-using laptop PCs (unlike the pre-ipad ones) but I gotta have one for work and stuff.
But yeah, in 5 years they'll obviate both traditional laptops and consoles.

Well, turns out Woot is having a sale on a refurbished Toshiba 10" tablet. My understanding is that it is a solid tablet. Some don't like it because it's fairly bulky. Others don't mind because the bulkiness is due to full size USB and HDMI ports and a replaceable battery. Anyway...here is the link...

the "cloud" is limited like anything else that has bandwidth caps
whether its file size or DL/UL speed....to get around a few of those limitations you have to pay a monthly fee for most services
then you have ridiculous crap of not having a internet connection...and the swapping of data at slow speeds compared to swapping a card
cloud service may be the future....but it is nowhere near anything worthwhile right now
