N00bs. Show me just once where I've ever once said I believe in Paul as a main-line "Libertarian."

I won't be checking back, because it hasn't happened.

Many Libertarians would hold their breath and vote for Paul, despite his Christian leanings. But the only reason Paul HAS as much of a following as he does is the quasi-REPUBLICANS swelling his ranks, due to his pro-life pro-christian stances.

There's a reason he has an "R" after his name.

Libertarians have had to adopt to criticisms which include social welfare. Every serious libertarian I have ever talked to has charity, which means religion, as a cornerstone of their belief in libertarianism.

Libertarianism without a large amount of assumed charity is the rarity not the other way around.

Nice try.

Libertarianism is pretty simple. It doesn't deal in religion but it believes in the freedom of religion. So muslims, christians, jews, buddhists, new age etc.. all have the same rights. Rastafarians can even smoke ganj in a libertarian society.

And to that person who said I put people into categories such as Austrians (economic philosophy, not nationality), keynesians (not kenyans) and the other one you mentioned. I put those people into groups philosophically not in regards to legislative benefits or penalties.

The point is that religion will play a larger role in pretty much 90% of libertarian's world view. I don't consider anarchists to be serious libertarians.

Religion and libertarianism go hand in hand.

too bad he never became a senator ....imagine the chaos he could cause with filibuster power

that being said...it's nonsense to say he was ineffective....30 years of consistency has people noticing him and his ideas in a positive way.....name me one other congress member that can say the same thing
