Listen to him more and don't always think everyone is out to get you. Even if it wasn't fishing for a compliment this was exactly the way to turn it around. Except for the part that most women like to be treated like crap. That's utter bullshit and only those that have not reached puberty. 
Yeahhhh... gonna have to call BS on this one. And only because I am the same way and I understand. The difference in sexiness to me between some passive little nice girl vs. an aggressive hot party girl who is most likely going to sleep with all my friends, is too great to underestimate.
And it's only more so with girls. The bad boy who won't settle may as well be your cocaine. Grab a dollar bill, roll it up, and inhale!
Yes, again, if you are in your 20's. Most women past that age have gotten over the "bad boy" image and prefer someone who is not an asshole. (Though, granted, not all) Bonk seems to be dating beyond the 20's.
