Anyone have some suggestions for a good pair of gloves?

I'm outside in 0-32° weather with 20+mph winds for at least 6 hours a day. I don't move too much so I need something that will really protect and warm my hands.

I've been checking out this zappos website, the gloves look sweet but there are few reviews and they don't seem to have a consistent weather rating system.

Currently I'm just using a pair of liners and a wool/leather hybrid that doesn't do quite enough. I think I have an issue of circulation, my aunt is diagnosed with something like that... My fingers and toes (and nose) are always cold, but they're icicles when I'm outside. At least with my feet, I have good boots, good socks and I can walk a bunch so they don't bother me much.

Anyone work outside or have experience with some cold weather gloves? I figure I should start looking into arctic hunting gear I'm trying not to spend an arm and a leg though.

Try a pair with Windstopper lining, it makes the world of difference in windy conditions.

Thanks guys. Rei is looking good, in my price range and some of them actually have a temperature rating.

If you don't need your fingers, mittens are warmer than gloves.

This. Get some Thinsulate or Smartwool glove liners, wear big mittens over them.

Make sure your mittens aren't too tight, you need some trapped air for proper warmth.

The reason the Inuit wear mitts is because all your fingers provide heat for each other - gloves are for people that want frostbite!

It is because heat loss is proportional to surface area. Mittens have less surface area than gloves.

Nonsense - mittens have less heat loss than gloves since the palm also provides heat within mittens, etc.

If you were to unseem the gloves and rejoin them as mitts, they'd be showing MUCH more material than mittens BUT the diff is the gloves, in order to provide flexibility, MUST have less insulation.
