All of the snow that fell yesterday is now frozen solid.
A warm front has moved in and it's raining, but the bottom 100 feet or so of atmosphere is still well below freezing, so all of the rain is freezing on contact. Roads are super dangerous, trees and branches (and power lines) are coming down almost as fast as the rain is.

Yeah, that sucks. We've had that happen in the Portland area before, about 8 years ago. Really isn't worth it to even try to get out.

I was just looking at the weather map for Seattle...man, you guys are effed. Hopefully it warms up for you tomorrow, but since it was supposed to do that today it might be awhile yet.
