He goes on in this talk to speak of modern day thinkers, our concept of god etc.. very interesting and sad.

Given that our race would not even exist as a sentient apex predator if we didn't eat meat, I can live with us being "animals".
It is only those trapped within an evolutionary cul-de-sac that believe we are somehow lessened by the eating of meat.

Eating meat is fine in that evolutionary context where people were trying to survive and were opportunistic. Much thought went into killing and consuming the animals. Today if people had to kill their own meat almost everyone would be vegetarian, fact! Including you Konehead.
Today people just drone ahead in their daily lives consuming things without much thought at all which is what this swami was trying to point out. People today are as conscious about what they are doing as a conveyor belt is about conveying, they simply drone ahead eating what they want, saying what they want and hurting those they hurt without even a thought about consequences. The fact that you don't understand what he is saying and what it means on a larger scale simply proves your are an outposter.. congrats.
