Is the dumbest thing you can do. If she is even a 5 out if 10 she will find a guy willing to take care of her and will resort to prostituion.
Just watching untervention and i cant understand how the families are shocked to see their cute daughters prostituing themselves.
I think its pretty hard for a girl to hit rock bottom, they just have too many options (even on the street).

I had a friend addicted to heroin who sold her parents car. I think they sent her back to rehab at that point. Three or four years later shes clean and just married.

Yeah dumb thing to do. Locking them up in a room with a couple buckets and some soup is much more effective.

This. If everything you've done to help them hasn't worked, and they don't want to change, you can't let them continue to ruin everyone else's life. People think their family will always be there for them, and in a lot of cases that ends up as the family enabling the addiction.

This. It may teach them a lesson, and that is the hope you'll be clinging to, but it also may not. But at some point you just have to make the cut to shield the rest of the family.

I wonder, for example, if the reason to do so wasn't to teach her a lesson, but so that the family would stop enabling her addiction?
