Yes. My free car is but a shackle. The man is keeping me down! What a fool I have been! I'll go out and get a car payment Toot Sweet! Insurance, maintenance and gas...it'll be just grand. I'll show those tyrants they don't own me!

I can always go out and get a car if I need one. Why spend money you don't have to?

I like the freedom that comes from driving my own car. No one but me can determine how it's used or when I have to give it up.

I dunno Tali, why not set up a new car fund and stash bucks in it for use if/when the company yanks the company car away? You get all the perks of the company car and when you want your own, you get brand new at the time, or whatever. Makes sense to me, especially in a job where driving long distances often.

This like the old El Camino sensibility. They are $42k? That is way too high. They need to price these in the low 20's loaded.

I owned a '77 GMC Sperint (the truck div's El Camino) - last year of the 'long look'.

With beefed up rear coils it performed like a 1/2 ton and looked GREAT!

Oh, and Nnanji - at least you'll still have your Kodachrome.
