you got me

It must suck living in a self imposed box.

You might give science a try and see if it can lure your out of your self-imposed box of fantasy and denial. The real world isn't as scary as you might think.

It's modern science that is in a box forced to follow an imposed path of research due to the constraints and taboos of proposing alternative ideas that don't follow the suggested theories.

What does this tripe even mean?

Like I said, imagination vs. science.

Gaining knowledge is struggle. You're leeching off the the hard work of generations of scientists who provided you with things like modern chemistry, electricity, computers and the Internet, just so that you could live in your fantasy bubble and oooh and aaaah at everything shiny. You're the dude that gets taken out of the Matrix and then not only thinks that the Matrix is the better place to live, but insists that the Matrix is actually the real world.

You understand nothing. Science is exactly the opposite of what you think it is. Science is all about tearing that box down and leaving only the parts standing that don't fall apart no matter how much dynamite you throw at them. You on the other hand are erecting new walls everywhere and box yourself in because you find them interesting.

To be fair, science doesn't say there isn't a hole in the sun that projects out to another star somewhere else...it just says "show me the proof". And when you answer that with a YouTube video it laughs in your face as it strolls comfortably to a Global Warming symposium.

wat?

Actually, I could see the argument made for the Matrix being the real world. I mean, all your physical sensors would be the same, your mental faculties wouldn't be hindered, spiritually it wouldn't matter where you were. So what makes a place real? Or more real than another? I could argue the answer here is Human Interaction. Sure, in the real world theres people too, but a tiny village-city or a Tunnel crawling "space ship" with five other people on board. In the matrix theres an entire world of people, and as many options as we have in our world (ie unlimited, vs. the exceedingly limited "real world" of the movie). As for better place to live, that's pretty subjective. I wouldn't judge anyone for wanting to choose one place over the other.

Edit: you were probably being facetious but Corolius finally passed what he was smoking. I'm in man, like, the rainbow isn't where the pot of gold is, its where the portal to take you to a place made of gold is. Life the ancient immigrant narratives spoke of, "streets paved with gold." See, it wasn't our America, with all its science, they were referring to. It was the rainbow conduit realm, with like, sunspots that make nutritious candy rain down. I'm not saying this happens or its real, but, like.... what if?

Seeing it from the outside would kind of give it away. To most people.

Pfft, the Matrix is just Zionist propaganda used to enslave the already-enslaved masses. Sure, they're getting their body heat used up to power robots, but it was just part of the Green movement. Why use up all the resources on real Earth when you could have an identical world with a Gold standard. Two identical worlds, one with a real monetary system, I ask you, which one is really real?

Actually, by considering the possibility of the impossible/stupid it IS possible to see things in a new light which, in turn, can lead to greater innovation of existing technology and/or understanding of many things.

To ignore them and scoff is to restrict the opportunity for growth.

Exactly my point.
