you got me

It must suck living in a self imposed box.

You might give science a try and see if it can lure your out of your self-imposed box of fantasy and denial. The real world isn't as scary as you might think.

It's modern science that is in a box forced to follow an imposed path of research due to the constraints and taboos of proposing alternative ideas that don't follow the suggested theories.

Cori, do you believe in his video? Do you believe the scientist in the video?

I honestly don't know, I just find it interesting.

That's a fair enough answer. Can you tell me which portions of that video are plausible or possibly believable for you, if any? Not a trick question, I'm not going to jump all over you, I would just like to know.

That isn't true. Plenty of money goes into all sorts of crackpot theories. However, when they end up not being able to show any evidence that they are heading down the right track after a couple of years, money tends to dry up. But heck, look at all the money that goes into String Theory when that is mostly just imagination run wild and that they don't know how to set up an experiment yet that can confirm it.

Well it's common knowledge that NASA airbrushes or has airbrushed many of the photos it has released from Mars and the moon so it wouldn't surprise me if they were able to do something like that. This video I found interesting but I have no idea who this guy even is. I just thought his theory was wild and interesting.

Common knowledge? Why is it that googling "nasa airbrushing" brings up hits from youtube and ufo websites?

Cori is of course, confuzzled by "facts"

Yes, NASA digitally alters images that they release. There is of course a very good reason why NASA does this, but the tinfoilers take it and run with it.

Tinfoilers: ZOMG THEY ALTER THE PITCHURS!!!

Sensible People: Well, duh, because NASA doesn't use cameras you buy off shelves.

The cameras NASA use usually don't even take pictures in visible light, because that's not very helpful in their work. Most of their "cameras" are X-Ray, Gamma-Ray, Thermal, Ultraviolet etc and basically everything-you-can-imagine-except-visible-wavelength cameras.

Even when they do use visible spectrum cameras of necessity they have to use 3 cameras or three different photographs with different filters: One each for Red, Green and Blue. This means that virtually every picture NASA has ever released has had to have at least some post-processing to make them into something the human eye can appreciate in the first place.

But no... the tinfoilers find the artifacts and sometimes errors left-over from this post-processing and completely freak out.

Well I don't know, I find it all very interesting and I would like to say that many of the accepted theories I know of I find just as odd as these this guy is presenting. I don't know what is true or not but all I do know is that I will not turn off my brain simply because modern science presents evidence that they deem fact. I believe the human race are a race of explorers and without listening to our fellow explorers we are purposely excluding their ideas that could bring knowledge and wonder to all of us.

I appreciate you answering me and I thank you. My conclusions were much different but they do not invalidate yours.

Edited for quote build up.

I find it interesting how you fools can discount EVERYTHING except for what you read in texts or told to you by your physics prof. Most of our science on these subjects are unknown and or wrong..

open your minds to other possibilities.

Now I realize it sounds insane but he makes some interesting points that are worth listening to imo..

We find it interesting that you believe ANYTHING you see on YouTube or read on a blog.

So I guess there's a kind of symmetry there.

I find your lack of understanding about science amusing, Cori.

You don't even have a decent grasp on the basic concepts, yet you claim it is trapped!

Actually, by considering the possibility of the impossible/stupid it IS possible to see things in a new light which, in turn, can lead to greater innovation of existing technology and/or understanding of many things.

To ignore them and scoff is to restrict the opportunity for growth.
