Agreed on 4th with Romney winning. The real question is who takes 2nd?
Santorum isn't competing with Romney, he's competing with Newt.
With both of them in the race Romney is a lock for the nomination, but if one of them starts to trounce the other and the loser drops, that person gets all of the 'not Romney' vote instead of the current half.

He is presently polling a distant fourth.

Newt's numbers are down, but not in Santorum's range yet. Santorum may need to pack it up after this race, depending on how low he goes.
Didn't RP decide to forego Florida altogether? I mean his name is on the ballot, but he hasn't actively been campaigning there as far as I know.

Knowing FL as I do and I don't mean that in a pejorative sense, I never had any expectation of doing well in that state. You simply have to understand its population dynamics to know why.

Probably as well as you would poll if you campaigned in Florida as much as he did.
