Generally yes!
It's up to each citizen to inform themselves and be observant.

For minor crimes authorities should strive towards giving a warning and possible a smaller fine/punishment for first time offenders, depending on the severity and consequences.

it is obviously true

the question should be..."do you think it should be true"

to that i answer no...it should not

there comes a time when laws are so numerous and complex and so ridiculous that it becomes impossible to know what the law is w/o having a law degree

When the law is moral.

Law against speeding? Immoral and invalid law since there is no victim

Law against murder? That's a just law since there is a victim.

For the most part I don't think it's true.

Recently I was pulled over for going 25 in a 15 by the air & space museum, the rest of the city is 25 and being ignorant that the unposted limit was slower than I was going. The park police gave me a warning and seemed to find my excuse reasonable.

There is a victim when they crash and kill someone from careless driving. We need laws like this because of all the idiots out there that think they know how to drive at high speeds.

I think the spirit of it is good, but ignores the common sense fact that the law is so damn complicated nowadays.

If the law wasn't written expressly to make everyone else ignorant of it, I would have no issues with it.

If you are driving at the whole CCW issue though, common sense should have prevailed there as well. The NRA and all kinds of gun advocacy groups offer resources to help untangle those laws and make sense of them. Considering it's your own freedom you are risking, no matter how screwed up it is, it is incumbent upon yourself as a responsible adult to do the damn research before you travel with your weapon.

Laws do not require victims.

Amendment X

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

You being such a big defender of the Constitution will be the first in line to support this of course.

Now please address your own State Constitution, where I'm sure you'll find within it the authority to pass the laws and regulations you're constantly bitching about.

If your State has a law against speeding, and your State Constitution grants the authority to pass laws and regulations regarding vehicular traffic (which I should point out, all do, without exception) then such laws and regulations passed in accordance with such Constitutional authority... are by definition moral.

Here endeth the lesson.
