If I heard them speaking (in their respective Celtic languages) I would. That and Scots tend to be a little lighter skinned. The point is Scots and Irish are VERY MUCH ALIKE. No one would fault you for being unable to tell the difference between a North Chinese and a Tibetan. You will be faulted for thinking that Southeast Asians and the typical Chinese person is anything alike, physically, culturally and linguistically.
Since you're getting really emotional now I'll just say that you implied SCOT:IRISH as CHINESE:SOUTHEAST ASIAN. I won't blame you for being stupid because just about every American thinks the same. They're retarded.
I'm pretty sure most Chinese people would be able to tell the difference between a half-white Ethiopian and a full-blown ginger from Ireland.
