When I worked in an office, I wore high heels everyday.

I don't even own a pair now. My highest heel is about 2 inches.

It never bothered me to wear stilettos back then, now, I could even imagine it.

My stepsister is 20-something years old, works and lives in NYC. She's about 5'4" tall maybe. Last Spring, she started dating a guy who is 6'6" tall. Out of some sort of foolishness, she began to wear super high heels.

Within a few weeks of that, she wound up with a fracture, and a pretty bad one apparently, of her big toe or the metatarsals around it, I'm not entirely sure, but the bottom line was that she got it from wearing the heels, and wound up wearing a cast for most of the Summer.

I considered this a fitting lesson for her to learn.

High heels are nice enough, but yeah, it looks hugely trashy when woman can't walk in them, and to be honest, I find the "price" that women pay sometimes (like my step sister) to be completely not worth it.

I will never understand why modern women still go through these archaic and frankly medieval tortures in the name of beauty, and for the most part, this is THEIR OWN CHOICE!

If men wore high heels - we wouldn't... just like if men wore bras, they would hook in the front.
