I'm always more concerned that the mother is concerned about having to do it in public not that it can't/shouldn't be done but it's a pretty vulnerable feeling I'm sure to be in that situation especially with a hungry baby that's also taking your attention.

And you'll note that I initially said 'left' with quotes. If you hang around this board, you should know that means the pseudo-definition of left which I disavow as having any real meaning... but use as convention because that is what others use.

I constantly... CONSTANTLY... criticize the use of left-and-right in any real sense as meaningless. However, 'liberal' is also problematic.

The US politicos have done an excellent job of mangling and maligning these basic terms with emotional baggage to the point of being meaningless.

I don't accept that chart system and I recommend to anyone on the real right not to accept it either. I've observed that, that system skews results and deceptively confuses the political spectrum. The political spectrum is far better understood as a simple flat line that people can't wiggle out of to make themselves feel better about their views.

Full tilt left is any kind of totalitarian state. Full tilt right is anarchy. In the American system of government the middle would be your constitutional moderate.

The world isn't black and white... Don't let all those colors confuse you too much, you might start getting all wiggly and stuffs.

There's a chart I cannot find that's really better than the one reese posted, but I cannot find it right now.

It shows the same end result though... either 'left' or 'right' leads to authoritarianism and despotism. One is authoritarianism, despotic and enslaving in the macro, the other in the micro. But in the end it is the exact same impact to the individual's ability to live a free existence.

And again... I view them all as flawed because two-dimensions (or even four) doesn't really handle the matrix needed.

This is why I consider a simple flat line to be less confusing, more educational and ultimately more honest. Make it simple and in turn make people appreciate where they really are.

Think about it this way, you have contemporary Liberals who you realize are really no such thing. They are more than willing to tell you how to run your life at every turn (the micro mangers you mentioned) but naturally they claim otherwise. And you so called conservatives who bleat about government but do nothing but make it bigger and worse when given the opportunity.

On a simple line system, all of those people can't wriggle their positions to shuck & jive others with. They are are clearly denoted on the line and can be judged accordingly. This is why I think many people don't like such a system because it won't give them a confirmation bias woody and it exposes them, maybe to even their own uncomfortable surprise.

Trust aerhead to turn a thread about boobs into a discussion about how butthurt he is that him and his Nazi friends are called authoritarian.
