Yep, saw that yesterday and told the wife how clueless this woman was. Even very well trained dogs are unpredictable when put in such situations.

The dog gave no warning signs that I saw, it only acted when she put her face next to its head.

The one I saw was the dog avoiding her in the seconds before the bite.

Also, there's the fact that the dog is in a strange situation and being man-handled in a somewhat high stress (hard to tell) situation. Handlers should have known better than to let her face-to-face close.

He actually is giving signs.

He pulls away from her right before she sticks her face in his vicinity.

Also, as the youtube video states, lip licking is a sign of anxiety for at least the pit bull breed.

And he's panting, which is always a sign of some distress.

It's also pretty inadvisable to allow a stranger to pet a dogs neck.

Those trainers\handlers were fracking idiots.

The trainers were at the dogs back, they missed all of the dog's facial expressions.
However they should have stopped the woman's from moving closer, but it happens pretty quickly.
