Germany and Bavaria, Oktoberfest.
Then probably some time in Italy, France and Spain.

Northern Italy and France. If pushed I'll spend a month in a penzione in Florence. Florence is centrally located and would allow me to trip to many places.I have an offer from a woman , if i want to leave my life here and move into a 12th century stone house in Italy and work on a subterranean monastic cell on her property. She was part of the Factory scene in new York.

Last year my wife and I did London, Paris and Amsterdam in August and it worked well.
Stay away from spain and italy in august unless you have a very high tolerance for heat, crowds, and no locals because they're all on vacation somewhere else. Those countries are basically just full of a hot sweaty tourists at that time of the year and not much else.
Switzerland or Germany might be nice too. I don't really know what Prague is like in August but I would think it wouldn't be TOO hot. Maybe Vienna?
