His sense of invulnerability is gone. Once people realized he was beatable, he lost a lot of his edge.
Previously, if he was leading on the final day of the tournament, there was no way he was going to lose, so it was pointless to try and catch him.
Also, his physical edge has narrowed as other golfers have taken up his weight-lifting and physical regimes.
It is mostly mental, though. I'm sure it is tough to maintain that intensity when you have a billion dollars in the bank and spend half your week doing commercials, promotions, and other activities unrelated to golf.
If he wants to get his mojo back, he should cut out every other part of his life except for golf and live and breathe it like he did in his teens and 20s.
