In and of itself this doesn't really bother me, but what happens if you have an openly gay teacher? Are they now forbidden from talking about themselves unless their students are in high school?
as opposed to an openly hetero talking about their sex life?
how many 6th grade teachers did you have that came in talking about their hot date the night before?

I know it's difficult, but try reading the rest of the thread. Azure summed it up two posts above you. Sexuality is not the same thing as sex. People express their sexuality in a million different ways every day and nobody gives it a second thought until their sexuality is incongruous with gender stereotypes. Then suddenly people puff up and complain loudly about how gays should just keep it in private.

I don't really see a problem with teachers talking about their personal life. Plenty of my teachers mentioned their husband or wife in class, so why shouldn't homosexuals be able to?

The guy who keeps reintroducing this bill (every session for the past 8 years) is the same guy who got thrown out of that cafe in Knoxville a while back.
Complete and utter facktard.
If this bill becomes law, you wouldn't even be able to mention that gay people exist, even in casual conversation. Which is insane. A law that requires everyone to ignore reality and never mention it because some people don't like it.
Go go party of smaller government! Next you can outlaw mentioning homeless people. Can't mention they exist because it might make some kid want to be one! Plus, if you just act like they don't exist, you don't have to worry about ever dealing with one.
Thank god someone is looking out for our kids well being. Thank you freedom loving "conservatives"!!1!!!
