Hootie, Dave Matthews, Phish and Black Eyed Peas are no brainers for me.
Some of those bands are obscure and irrelevant so I have no opinion.

I definitely have never been a Dave Matthews fan. Yet almost everyone around me loves the band-what gives?
I have just become a Rush fan last year. I know Neal Peart is an asshole, but I donmt want to interview him.

I think most of them are good calls. Lets face it, Wings was lame beyond words.
Rush does not belong on that list. Either do the Sex Pistols. Other than that I agree with pretty much everybody else.
