I somehow watched the entire thing.
It was wretched and boring.
I guess if you enjoy zero plot, gore, and an attempt at subtlety.

Valhalla Rising never got a wide release in the states. But yeah. Even if it opened wide, word of mouth would have put it down quick. And, while it's an interesting movie, I doubt the thirty-minute-long boat ride in the middle of it would have appealed to the masses of any country.
Hey don't knock on boat rides, "Das Boot" is one of the most awesome flicks ever and it's over 3 HOURS of essentially just boat riding (and angst, sweating, death and misery, but I digress).
I love Das Boot! But the boat ride in Valhalla Rising is one fixed-camera shot that lasts for half an hour. I can't remember if anyone even talks during it. Not many people are going to have the patience to make it through that and into the insanity that comes after.
