Valhalla Rising never got a wide release in the states. But yeah. Even if it opened wide, word of mouth would have put it down quick. And, while it's an interesting movie, I doubt the thirty-minute-long boat ride in the middle of it would have appealed to the masses of any country.

Hey don't knock on boat rides, "Das Boot" is one of the most awesome flicks ever and it's over 3 HOURS of essentially just boat riding (and angst, sweating, death and misery, but I digress).

I watched some sort of viking movie on Netflix in which they showed a viking pooping on the screen. WTF was that a German production or something?

Das boot is a Titan of a movie: Valhalla Rising not so much.
It was a decent concept they had, but it falls short when put on screen. When they get off the boat and pillage Disneyland, and steal the light sabers, I stopped watching.
