fun is a useless word. We are hard wired to kill. For dominance, for protection, for dinner.

I was refering to snake skin shoes and wallets and crap like that.
It says a lot about you that your first thought was about skinning human beings.
I think Tenkly was saying that skinning an animal for decorative use is as bad as killing a human, he is right. All living things have a right to live except when we need them for food.
Either you are dense and stupid or you are trolling. Both, in this instance, are in incredibly bad taste.
I never said whether it was good or bad, just that a pathology means a sickness or something wrong. Skinning animals/killing for our pleasure/hunting is very common - so common that either most people are pathological or this is just normal human variety. Many people for instance wear leather shoes when they could wear fiber and rubber based shoes.

There is definitely a difference in killing game animals sport and killing domestic animals for fun. While I am sure there is a small percentage of hunters that are sick, that is no different than some soldiers being sick. A guy at my work did a couple tours in Iraq and always talked of wanting to go back so he could "do some killing". He is the type that probably kept human ears on a necklace or something.

Did you report him to the authorities?

Nah, I have no idea if he was just talking, or whatever. He could easily deny it or say he meant killing terrorists, or whatever.

I know that one of the profiling methods for serial killers isn't just killing animals as a child. It's torturing and dismembering animals that is a red flag.
Pretty broad stroke to call people who kill animals as psychopaths. What about the slaughterhouse worker that has to cut the throat of all the cows that come in? He or she is not eating all the animals they've killed.

My theory is that they are a healthy outlet for those feelings that we all have. I think society has always had these outlets, whether they were public hangings, camping out on a battle ground (though not always so healthy), or the local theater putting on Macbeth or the Iliad.

I think that clinically psychopathy is linked more to lack of empathy. Killing animals for sport is probably not psychopathic, but torturing animals to death for sport would be.

That's common trait between all serial killers. They lack empathy and only know how to lie and fake it as a means to an end - which is them sodomizing your corpse.
