A lot of people have no clue who Santorum is or what he stands for. This allows them to project. We all know who Obama is and what we individually do not like about him.
Should there be a reason to find out who Mr. Frothy-anal-lube really is, the polls will no doubt change.

The other establishment choices were Gore & Kerry, nuff said. People need to look past the establishment for candidates.
