If you consider yourself a fiscal conservative AND you support Santorum, do us all a favor and go off yourself now.

And if you consider yourself a liberty loving constitutionalist AND a Ron Paul supporter, grats on /failing hard

I just looked at the house roll call for the vote on HR 1540 yesterday, the National Defense Authorization Act of 2011, and it shows Ron Paul as one of the 14 members who didn't vote. Considering this bill had the terrorism detainee amendment, what was Ron doing yesterday that was more important than showing up to the floor for this vote?

I haven't seen any polls that show such a narrow margin. This aggregate of polls seems to show most are around 6-7.

http://www.nationalpolls.com/2012/obama-vs-santorum.html

That said, even 6-7 is surprisingly narrow. The problem is we do have a lot of idiotic religious zealots who'd love to turn the country into a Christian holy land. The people of the US can be a slow and sad lot.

I really hope it isn't the religious right.

If it is the "anyone is better than Obama" mentality, then they are just jumping on the current bandwagon.

Give it a couple weeks.

Canada seems immune, though I don't follow it much. Maybe we can toss out our government and ask Canada to take us over?

Most likely the truth is that many probably probably don't know very much about Santorum. It's the 'not Obama' vote more than anything.

That and a certain % of the population is going to vote GOP or Dem no matter what.
