Yep. Having money gives you an advantage over people who don't have money when it comes to making more money. In the long term on an average basis those with money to begin with will always produce better results than those without money.

The rich get to write the rules.
It isnt the 'free market' isnt setting up the rules that decide free trade (manufacturing) or protectionism (medical, pharmaceutical, legal, financial, etc..) nor is it erecting barriers of entry around profitable products/services (patents). The market isnt even writing the rules on how labor gets to negotiate for its compensation.
Creating legal barriers of entry has always been one of the keys to wealth.

That's like saying that people who have won races are more likely to win races because race winning causes race winning.
Have you ever considered the possibility that winning races is actually the effect rather than the cause?

A more accurate analogy would be that everyone runs the first race barefoot and there are no rules, just cross the finish line. The winner of that race gets to be the only one wearing shoes for the next race, and he gets to pass those shoes onto his children to run in. The winner of the next race gets a scooter to use against all of those other guys running barefoot, and the winner of that race gets a car to pass on to his children....
Until one day it is a small group of people in Ferrari's racing against a bunch of people running barefoot, and the guy in the Ferrari is crying crocodile tears that the maintenance on his car is just too darn expensive and should be reduced. Revenue can be made up by charging more for band-aids for the rest of our feet.

No. It would be like that if each time you won a race you got a 1 second head start in the next race.
