Brew your own eh? Never seen someone brew beer. Wine yes, but beer or moonshine or anything like that no.

ive thought about making shine but id rather have 5, or soon 10, gallons of beer than half a gallon of shine.

I dont drink much these days. I like wine, and liquor. A beer every now and then is cool to tho. I never thought of trying home made stuff though. id think id probably get sick.

homebrew is 10x better than 95% of the store bought stuff

ive converted non-beer drinkers.

Well I've never tried it. It would surprise me though if it was "that" good. Id try it if it was available. Id be nervous but id try it. Worst case i just dont like it. Best case, I'm making my own.

ever made any type of wheat beers? if so, how did they turn out?

i use chocolate wheat in my milk stout recipe.
its friggin smooth and delicious.

wheat in the recipe tends to smooth the edges and round out the flavor a bit.
ive made a few. they are good.
wheat makes for a sticky mash, though, and i dont like working with it too much.

rye makes a great beer. i love the rye.
roasted barley is also a great flavor in beer. if youve ever had a black lager, like 2012, they are heavy on the roast and it stands out well in those beers.


if you live near a mircobrew or brewpub, go try some of their beers.
just because you dont like one specific style doesnt mean you wont like ALL of their beers.
there are more styles and flavors of beer than you can shake a stick at. ive made it my goal in life to try them all

sweeny, good buy. I recently acquired one as well. Broke it in with a double IPA. Best brew yet. Enjoy.
