daoc stealth, or invisibility as I called it, was lame and most stealthers were bad players who liked sitting on bridges en masse touching each others special place.

Most archers were leechers who couldn't hack it in an 8man but wanted to feel good. Hopefully GW2 does stealth better.

*and also, the most terrible players of them all were the ones who would QQ about CC and demanded it be removed

Was it too hard to use your purge at the right time, scrubs? Or maybe even IP if they were lucky enough to pull a second 5 sec stun

I played a slash infil and 90% of my duels vs piece infils I owned them. Which leads me to believe that the cry babies in both mid and hib were just bad players.

My slash infil at rr5/6 was taking down rr8/9 sb/ns. It's called knowing how to use your skills and when to pop your RA's.

The best was when tanks and hybrids cried over dying to infils. Pierce infils were shit. Slash infils> all.

Actually, the best was the cry baby shadowblades who used to have massive meltdowns over a stun, but had LA and buffs and pretty much could 3 shot everything if they didn't blow hard ( which most of them did)

A lot of my response is tempered by exactly when in the game I was playing because most of my infiltrator experience pre-dates ToA, the New Frontiers expansion and RA changes. Having said that, Dragonfang was seriously overpowered imho as a thrust inf. RAs on (30 minutes timers) were only useful when active, so unless you were hiding out and waiting for your timer to reset, you were cruising the frontier without Purge or AP or whatever bandaid patch was available for your class. DF was always available, barring immunity timer of re-using it in the same fight. And as a fully templated, red spec-buffed infiltrator, I could run the hammy chain a lot during that nine second stun. I totally understand people's comlaints about all the stun stuff in the game and the nine second stuns were over the top, but at least slam used a ton of endo and could be evaded, blocked parried or etc. pretty well.

Once you add in TOA and the NF changes, all bets are basically off with the varieties of Iwin spread across the game.

DF and infiltrators in general were OP-ed at start of game...
one of first guys on Tristan to get buffbot was infil
and he used to attack and kill full groups (that uncapped
evade helped a lot, of course)
