Unless you show up with a witness or a lawyer you are not going to win. The judge will always take the cops word over yours.

In California you get a cheaper rate if you just pay. If you contest the ticket they charge you another 100 bucks or so and you always, always lose unless you have physical proof.

Yea, always show up, I could care less about the money, its about getting points off.
BTW, if you were speeding just say guilty with explanation and tell em why, if you have no reason, just say guilty. Usually a judge will reduce the points.
