If you look at Reagan's economic policies it is pretty clear that he was a Keynesian. Meanwhile modern conservative politics concerning economic recovery both praise Reagan and criticize Keynes and modern liberal criticize Reagan and promote Keynes.

I wonder who is bothered more by the truth, liberals or conservatives.

Then there are those who don't like Reagan or Keynes or even Friedman and think economic recovery comes from cutting government spending, deflation, and the collapse of corporations and banks.

Reagan mixed in way too much supply side with his Keynesian, and the main reason many liberals (including me) hated the bastard was for his social theories and his militant jingoistic stupidity, not his economics.

However it is fun to watch today's "conservatives" praise him as a near deity, then scream that economic beliefs very similar to his are "ebil socialism".

Just goes to show you how far to the right the zeitgeist has gone.

I criticize Reagan much more for his illegally selling arms to Iran and then using that money to illegally fund the Contras in Nicaragua than his economic policies.

Yeah, that was one of the biggest militant jingoistic stupid acts of his entire horrible presidency.

Deregulation, union busting, and lowering the top marginal rate by 60% are Keynseian? I think at best you can say he later balanced his supply side policies with some better tax policy, but exactly what policies do you consider overall that make him a Keynseian?

Cutting taxes on the rich do not fit exactly what Keynes proposed but the theory behind cutting taxes in a recession is built off of Keynes theories with some capital supply economics worked in. Keynes pointed out that a reduction in demand will lead to less production which will in turn lead to less demand. This results in a downward spiral. Cutting taxes will impact consumption and savings.

In addition to tax changes Reagan also increased spending while paying for that spending with government debt.

Bush was a Keynesian and got predictable Keynesian results.

Libtards blame him even now for our down economy but believe that more Keynes is what we need to fix things.

Reagan was an incredible stoonad. His stupidity knew no bounds. Ronald Reagan declared ketchup as a vegetable providing nutrition in school childrens menus. A frigging tomato is not even a vegetable. That is about how bass ackwards this man was-the hero of the right.

I was there I studied under Dr Arthur Laffer at USC when he was designing Reaganomics.
