China kills more? Citizens are more afraid of the government? US people are more evil?

America has killed millions of middle easterners in modern history and China hasn't been agressive to any other country and has a smaller prison population than the US but somehow Tych2 thinks he is making a point.

They don't kill that many a year in China Tych. In 2010, China executed 2,000 prisoners.

It's far and away the highest total in the world, but it doesn't make up for the difference in number or population percentage.

About half of our prison population is in jail for non-violent drug crimes.

The war on drugs, simply put, is the greatest failure in the history of public policy.

We only throw about 1% of the population in jail at any one time last I checked. And that's for all crimes. Drug crimes are probably about .4%.


The thing about drugs is it's kinda hard to tell who is using them. If we declared a war on fat people it is very easy to see who we need to lock up because being fat is very hard to hide.

Ash is fat.
