Then again, maybe they should just do the right thing and NOT NOMINATE one of these idiots.

Tsk, tsk, you don't seriously believe the republicans will "do the right" thing, do you?

Quote:

The biggest donor to the pro-Rick Santorum super-PAC in January was a man you've almost certainly never heard of: William J. Doré Sr., a megarich energy executive from Lake Charles, Louisiana, with a short but complicated history of political giving. His $1 million donation to the Red, White, and Blue Fund was one of the largest gifts of the cycle, and almost certainly the most mysterious.

It's gotta be embarrassing to be a Republican now a days.

I would think some of the more moderate republicans would feel that way. I highly doubt the others, the base, feel that way at all. I bet they feel they are right and justified. I mean I don't understand how someone like Santorum has advanced this far in his career, but then I look at the facts which tell me he has so some are supporting him and are proud of the that.

People are odd sometimes and cannot or are unwilling to place themselves in others shoes or look at themselves from the outside.

That's actually a pretty good descriptor of Santorum...

Maybe that's why McCain/Palin ticket didn't work out as planned... It wasn't Palin holding the ticket back - it was McCain! Damn voters scare the crap outta me!!!

When you keep in mind that Santorum has just over a third of the support for one of two major political parties, you realize it's not the voters that are scary...it's the two-party system.

No. I'm pretty sure this is a clear indication of just how stupid/crazy the voters are.

No. I'm pretty sure this is a clear indication of just how stupid/crazy less than 20% of the voters are.

More support than he should have, I'll grant you, but it's not as serious as it seems when you keep it in perspective. It's a lack of a strong Republican leader and a party that's about to collapse in on itself trying to carry around too many different factions.

Up until this election, the Moral Majority types have been prepared to back whatever candidate the GOP handed to them. They're not going to do the same for Romney. He was governor of the wrong state, oversaw the implementations of the wrong policies and attends the wrong church.

It's a sad day for religion in America when expanding health care coverage for poor people means you lose the religious vote.
