Well, this is an English speaking board, so USSR is much more familiar to most of us, hence the confusion with SSSR.

I don't think Roosevelt or Churchill was very fond of Stalin, but they worked together because Hitler was the common threat, and a much more serious one, seeing as how the German Army pretty much curbstomped any country they went up against, including relative powerhouse (at the time) France. And the British just barely managed to stay afloat to weather the Battle of Britain.

I wonder what would've happened had Germany not of been at war with Russia when the D-Day landings took place, or worse yet, won in the Eastern Front. Eisenhower's infamous "failed to secure beachhead" letter probably would've been published, and we'd probably have a Cold War with Nazi Germany instead of the Soviet Union (and Hitler made it pretty clear anyone not of the "superior" race would've been at best, enslaved, or just be killed off). What a vastly different world that would've been...

Weren't commies much bigger threat for "american way of life" before WW2?
Also, we're speaking about attack on Poland, time when Hitler didn't attack anyone yet,
but, you guess it, Poland. And he did it together with Stalin, yet, noone
declared war to Stalin

Yeah, the West wasn't a very big fan of Communist Russia, considering all the bad things happening there. But it's probably a status quo thing where they didn't want to get involved with a war with Russia.

Imagine casualties that USA and Britain wouldve experienced if they didnt have millions of soviet zerglings to use as cannon fodder?

THATS the reason Soviets were forgiven about this whole "invasion of Poland" thing.

I believe original thought was that there already was one superpower setting western Europe on fire so why pick a fight with another one that necessarily wouldn't make a move against western parts.

and Both USA and Britain did act against Soviets during that time. During Finnish winter war both Britain and USA gave Finland material support
