IMHO, it may be superficial basal cell carcinoma, which is very, very common. It's not very aggressive. The skin of the hand is a fairly common area to find superficial basal cell carcinoma, as it tends to be exposed to sun a lot relative to other areas of the body. It's also found about the face quite often. If I'm correct, it's not a huge deal. Trace a line around the border of the lesion and keep it protected with a band-aid or some tape. Pay attention to whether or not it progresses outside of the trace. Also pay attention to color change from the pinkish-redish hue to a brown color. Or go to a dermatologist. Or cut your hand off.

The basal carcinoma type is red. Yours doesn't immediately strike as cancer and you're probably fine. See if it goes away and/or talk to a dermatologist. It runs in my family so I'm always on the lookout.

It is hard to tell the real color from that pic. I would compare the color to being the same color as my lips.

Its not skin cancer, skin cancer is not pink and it doesnt come in pimply little clusters.

There is more than one type of malignant neoplastic skin lesion. Some present as pink or red. This is absolutely a truth. I've seen multiple presentations of BCC that presented as pinkish or redish lesions. There are various factors that influence how a superficial basal-cell carcinoma will present.
I've seen keratosis pilaris as well. Usually multiple lesions that are relatively diffuse in comparison to IMHO's picture. Regardless, many things are possible.
Edit: IMHO, I forwarded that photo to somebody. Can you take another photo from a few inches further away and with better light? And possibly with a centimeter ruler along side the lesion? Also, is it accompanied by any pain or itchiness?

if you are worried abotu skin cancer get it checked. that shit will kill you quickly and horribly
im no medical professional but from what little i do know is that they think you are pretty safe if the thing has a clearly defined edge
