Your spaceship is your home in SWTOR

And there is no customization at all. It sorta proves me point. Spaceships in SWTOR are a huge wasted opportunity. Especially in a game which gives you so precious few ways to actually customize your character in meaningful ways.

EQ2 had housing at release. I think UO did too but I don't remember honestly.
And they spent 5 years making SWTOR. Obviously 4.5 years of that went into making the single player leveling experience.

I had a pet beaver in my house in Gemstone. I wonder if someone fed it after I stopped playing?
Poor little Bucky, I should have lived in a wooden cabin instead of that stone tower.

So I didn't find this to be the typical "housing" one finds in MMOs. However, when I watched this video that describes the home instance in GW2 a bit better, I was still kind of intrigued, nevertheless, with what they are doing here:

Spaceships in SWTOR are an unfinished feature.
They are only 2 months out from release.
Comparatively, WOW was still trying to figure out how to deal with keeping servers up and get queue times under hours in the quarter following their initial offering.
Ps - Wow also spent `4 years in development.
