Your article doesn't even make sense, Fist. We should be outraged by someone we've never even heard of who used to be on [Air America?/i] Even your columnist says no one ever listened to her.

Rush wasn't being satirical either. Does the guy even know what the word means? Do you even know what a double standard is? It isn't, "don't be upset with my hero if you're not going to be upset with everyone in the world who says something offensive on the topic."

But if it helps you sleep at night: no, i don't think Republican women deserve not to have ovaries. I condemn idiocy, provocative divisive language, and offensive polarization on both sides. Nice try though, it still didn't get a leading Republican voice out of calling a woman a slut and a prostitute for wanting to testify in front of Congress. But apologize away.

Yes, because saying someone is on drugs is not an "uncalled for personal attack."

I only watched the first one but it is not even close to being worse than what Rush said. Do you RWNs just not get how far Rush went over the line on this one? Maher goes over the line too and pushes it. I have no problem with outrage pointed in his direction but calling Palin a dumb twat is not even remotely comparable to what Rush said about Fluke.

Conservatives love to play the victim by perpetuating the myth that Maher didn't get called out for what he said either.

In fact, it was all over the news and that shining beacon of Fair and Unbalanced devoted not 1, but 3 "news" shows entirely to the issue and attacking Maher for his statement. It dragged on over in Foxland for days. Even CNN had one of their talking head shows devote time to it.

There is no double standard, but wear your victim badges proudly if you want.
