Obama said he could handle the mess he started with. Why should we let him off the hook because he was lying?

Every Presidential candidate will claim they can handle it. When looking at what Obama is suggesting we do and what the Republican candidates are suggesting the biggest difference is actually taxation and cutting entitlements. RWNs seem to think the rich need more money and the country is being ruined by payments to retired people.
They all seem to agree on China.
